Print Guard spray renders an ink jet print more water resistant and increases light resistance. The coating is sprayed directly on to the image and then allowed to air dry. Designed to provide a protective coating to images produced using water based ink jet inks, drawing inks and water colors, Print Guard is a clear lacquer that, when applied to water soluble images, greatly increases UV resistance to fading, reduces the possibility of damage to the image, and provides a splash proof water resistance coat. Print Guard has the added benefit of eliminating ‘bronzing’ or ‘gloss differential’ effects that are prevalent when using some pigment inks on gloss or luster papers. The type of finish produced by Print Guard spray tends to mimic the base media that it is applied to - gloss or luster papers still maintain a high gloss finish, where as matte or fine art papers absorb Print Guard into the surface to provide a flat matte finish.
